Louie Dager wants everyone to be able to listen, watch, find tour dates and get in touch through louiedager.io, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, which is the standard commonly used for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the European Accessibility Act.
What we do
- A clear page structure with one main heading per page and logical section headings, so screen readers can jump through the page.
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page, and full keyboard navigation with a visible focus outline.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, including the logo and release artwork. Decorative effects are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and background colours chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast.
- Reduced motion is respected. If your device is set to reduce motion, the 3D logo, film-grain flicker, scroll animations, wave graphics and the autoplaying video preview are switched off and replaced with still images.
- No content flashes more than three times per second.
- The short video preview of the live set is silent and decorative. The full set opens only when you choose to play it, in a player you can pause and close with the keyboard (Esc).
- The site works when zoomed to 200% and on small screens.
Known limitations
- Some content comes from other platforms (YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport, SoundCloud, Instagram). Their accessibility is outside our control. Captions for the full live set are provided by YouTube.
- Release artwork contains stylised text from the labels. The release title, artists and label are always repeated as real text next to it.
- The grain and texture overlays are a deliberate part of the visual style. They don’t cover any text you need, and they turn off with reduced-motion settings.
